Make your own Easter display with this gorgeous Easter Basket, Bunny and Bunting. This class is for students who are currently attending Sew with Jo classes or who have previously attended a Sew with Jo class and are 10+years.
We will be using a terrific pattern for the Easter Basket from Sew Can She and Kristen Doran Design pattern for the bunny. We will also make a cute bunting to finish off the display.
Students will learn the following skills in this workshop:
- Threading the sewing machine, winding a bobbin, inserting a bobbin
- Straight stitching
- How to read a basic pattern
- How to pin on a pattern and cut out fabric
- Toy making techniques
- How to turn out corners
- Pressing
- Stuffing
- Hand embroidery skills
- Making handles
- Using bias binding
- Using stabiliser
- And many more skills!
Please supply the following materials to the Sew with Jo studio PRIOR to the class (no later than Sunday 14th March). Please fill in the sheet that was attached to your invoice and put this with the fabric when dropping off to the studio.
– .5 metre (50cm) of cotton woven fabric for the outside of the basket and handle
-.5 metre (50cm) of cotton woven fabric for the inside of the basket
–.2 metre of another coordinating cotton fabric to add into bunting and for some sections of the bunny
(You can also use scraps from the above fabrics for the bunny too).

Sew with Jo will supply the white fleece for the bunny’s body and back of ears, stabiliser, polyester stuffing, embroidery thread and bias binding.
Class sizes are limited to 6 so students benefit from personalised tuition.
Classes are held at Sew with Jo studio – Wellington Point.
Please bring your own morning tea, lunch and water bottle. Please do not bring foods containing nuts.
