Fabric Bucket Workshop 10+ years
Learn how to make a very useful fabric bucket. This class is excellent for beginner sewers who have used a sewing machine before.
Students will learn the following skills in this workshop:
- How to stitch a seam and fasten off (use of reverse lever)
- How to use straight stich to make seams
- How to make a lining
- How to create depth
- How to turn out corners
- How to use stabilizer
Students need to bring the following materials:
- . 5metre (50cm) of two coordinating cotton woven fabrics (please note that fat quarters are not suitable for this project)
- Matching thread (100 metre reel – Gutterman or Mettler brand or students are welcome to use white thread supplied here at the Sew with Jo studio)
Sew with Jo will provide all other materials needed to complete the fabric bucket (stabilize and pellon) as well as the use of sewing machines and any notions needed.
Class sizes are limited to 4 so students benefit from personalised tuition.
A delicious morning tea is provided.
Classes are held at Sew with Jo studio – Wellington Point.
If students have no previous sewing experience, they must complete the “Comfy Cushions” or “Pretty Pillowcases” workshop first before attending this workshop.
